When the sound doesn't really engage

Many factory-installed sound systems do their job, but often lack the control and balance that makes music come alive. The PA4.6DA is built to take care of just that. With a better grasp of dynamics and frequency balance, voices get more body, instruments have clearer structure and the whole feels calmer even when you play a little louder. The ability to adjust the structure of the sound makes a big difference in practice, not least by reducing that messy feeling that easily occurs in simpler systems.

DSP working in the background

At the heart of the system is a Cirrus Logic DSP with 24-bit, 192 kHz resolution, responsible for the fine-grained work. With 31-band EQ per channel, the sound can be shaped exactly where it is needed, but it is also possible to use the tools more carefully to simply smooth out the overall sound. Crossover filters up to 48 dB per octave make it possible to create clear and clean transitions between treble, midrange and bass, even in systems that are initially quite simple.

The time compensation, adjustable in centimeters up to 519 cm, contributes to a more cohesive sound where the stage falls into place in front of you. The result is often experienced as everything suddenly falling into the middle. No magic, just correct acoustic adjustment.

Adapted for modern car systems

Today's cars have completely different integration requirements than before. Monitoring impedance, signal levels and software control can quickly create problems when connecting. The Smart Load function in the PA4.6DA is designed to handle this in a stable way by presenting the right load to the car's system. This minimizes the risk of error codes, unexpected behavior and strange volume changes. Automatic on and off makes everything work as naturally in everyday life as the original system, but with a significantly better sound.

A format that can be built upon

Four inputs and six outputs are more than enough for most thoughtful audio upgrades. The unit can be used completely on its own, but the RCA outputs make it easy to add external power amplifiers later if your system grows. Bluetooth 5.1 and optical input allow you to work with more direct signal sources, while the high-level input with Smart Load keeps installation straightforward.

The freedom to try your hand at something

With ten memory locations, you can save different settings and compare them at your leisure. This makes it easy to test different tonal balances, filters or levels and go back if you want. A practical way to let the system evolve over time, until it really feels right.
